Hi BVC’ers!
I wanted to bring you some good news on the House Renovation front: the city of San Jose has sent us information to be posted on our property that lets people know improvements are going to be forthcoming! Dennis Wilkison has the signs and they’ll be installed on Friday, April 26. So, when you arrive at church on Sunday morning, be sure and look for them! We haven’t heard anything from the Planning Commission yet but when we do, we’ll give you the details!
I also wanted to thank each one of you who has contributed to the funds for the House Renovation. Only God could lead you to do that … and your contribution(s) serve to bring encouragement that what we are doing is precisely what the Lord desires. Thank you for your sacrifices!
Some have asked me “Pastor, what are we going to do with all the items presently in the house when construction begins?” That’s a great question — the Board and I have looked at the possibility of obtaining some PODS (Portable On Demand Storage) to house these items.
Some have asked me, “Pastor, what are we going to do in regards to the lost space when the house construction begins?” Another good question! At our next board meeting on May 9, we’ll be discussing that very issue. Once we have formulated a plan, we’ll present that to you. Do keep in mind that according to the architect, the civil engineer as well as the landscaping engineer, the house will be unusable for about a year.
Many thanks to all who helped with the COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL on Saturday, April 20. It turned out to be a great day and we had a great many visitors on our campus (some of whom came to the worship service on Easter)!! Thank you for sharing your time and talents to making that day a huge success.
