Hi BVC’ers!

There’s no time like the present to give you an update on the House Expansion Project. First let me say that anytime you begin or continue with any kind of building project (or renovation), you’re going to hit a few snags along the way. We’ve hit a few snags in the past couple of weeks. Rather than bore you with what those snags are, let me say that they’ve all been resolved or are very close to being resolved! PTL! We’ve had great assistance from Converge PacWest as well as Cornerstone Fund in resolving these issues.

Second, we’re on track to do the first of 2 major steps: (1) present our plans and ideas to the Planning Commission of San Jose. How long it will take them to approve our plans (or give us mandates for improvement) is anyone’s guess at this point. We’ve got an appointment in April to make our presentation. Begin praying now that our plans show a well-thought-out process that meets with approval. (2) the second major step is then going to the Building Commission. We want to specifically do this before November (or earlier if that proves possible).

In the meantime, we look toward 2020 for the project physically to commence. It is estimated that our project will take a year to start and complete. This means we’ll need a temporary building to use while the house is undergoing its transformation. Would appreciate your prayers for the Board as we explore options that will best suit our needs.

That brings you up-to-date on this project. Thank you so much for your sacrificial giving to make this become a reality!
