This coming Sunday we’re beginning a brand new sermon series in the book of 1 Peter. 1 Peter is written to encourage sojourners and aliens living on foreign soil. For believers today, we live on “foreign” soil as we await our entrance into Heaven. 1 Peter deals with many issues facing people of every generation. Let me be the first to encourage you to not miss a single sermon in this fascinating series!!
2018 ANNUAL MEETING is scheduled for Sunday, January 21. There is much to share with you in regards to the building expansion plans. Dennis Wilkison, Jack Chen, Jerett Olson and myself just met with the architect for the second time. Much to share with you (all good) and that he (the architect) is letting us know we can move on to actually securing bids from various contractors!!
EVANGELISM TRAINING CLASS will be held on January 24 and January 31. This is a two-week class and will be meeting in The House @ BVC! If you’d like to learn more about sharing your faith as well as which verses you should have in your memory banks, then this class is for you. Please indicate your interest so that materials can be prepared.
WOMEN’S RETREAT: January 26-28 at Monterey, California!!
2ND HARVEST FOOD BANK!! BVC is returning to the 2nd Harvest Food Bank (located at 4001 N. First Street in San Jose) on Wednesday, February 7, from 6-8 p.m. This is a great way to serve our community. There are so many hungry people in our area and it’s amazing to see the foods which are donated to be dispersed. Come on out and join in the fun!! We meet at 4001 N. First Street.
