Hi BVC’ers!! All too often I overhear people who like to complain about how this situation or that situation didn’t go like they had envisioned it going. They seem to chafe under the stress and burden of not getting their way. Amazing how no one seems to take God into account in these type of situations. After all, by not getting something you thought you wanted, God may present something better! By not getting through that particular red light, God may have spared you a horrific accident. No matter the situation or circumstance, God is able to take all these things and use them together for good (Romans 8:28). In every hour of our lives, God has everything under complete control…we never have to doubt that or question it. Never forget that important truth. Last night we had our monthly board meeting — we discussed a great many issues (some of which we’ll discuss with you at a later date). Right now we’re praying for wisdom, discernment, and insight in several areas and would appreciate your prayers! What’s coming up? First, we have 14 spaces left for the 2nd Harvest Food Bank. If you’re interested in participating in this, please write 2ND on your registration card during August. We’re going on Wednesday, September 23, from 6-8 p.m. Second, the COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL is coming on Saturday, October 31, from 5-8 p.m. Much more information will be forthcoming on this and we’ll share it with you. Just reserve that date!! Third, new class sign-ups are being taken during the month of August with a mid-September start date. Presently all classes have availability slots! You can sign up on your registration card during the month of August. Fourth, OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD is right around the corner. Be sure to check Lori Serpa’s information which she has put on BVC family (Facebook). This coming Sunday we’ll be looking at Acts 2:42 at the second item that the early church devoted themselves to: FELLOWSHIP. Trust you’ll be here this Sunday!! See you then!!

Love, Pastor Chuck
