Today has been a most unusual day: sunshine and bright skies this
morning … and now, as I sit here typing this, it is raining and windy
and has become cold. It reminds me of the truth that God sends rain on
the just and the unjust. He’s fair. And God is always at work around
all of us … bringing to mind the truth of Romans 8:28 that God works
all things together for good. He’s omnipotent (all-powerful),
omnipresent (everywhere), and omniscient (all-knowing). He’s the same
yesterday, today, forever. He does not change. Everything else changes
(like the weather of today) but God does not. He remains unchangeable
which helps us know that His standards and requirements remain constant.
All of those promote security and stability in our lives.
Time doesn’t cease for any of us … but God exists outside of time thus
is immutable or unchanging. What a mighty God we serve!!
What’s coming up at BVC?
FUNDAMENTALS OF THE FAITH CLASS: is no longer open to new enrollees. However, this class will be offered later in 2018.
ORDINATION COUNCIL: churches do not get the opportunity to witness an ordination council or ordination service. Jerett Olson’s ordination council is schedule for Tuesday, June 19, at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend and then stay for the luncheon following.
ORDINATION SERVICE: is scheduled for Sunday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend. This is a wonderful honor being given to Berryessa Valley Church.
BUILDING UPDATE: we have received multiple estimates of what it will cost to update “The House @ BVC.” Your Board is presently praying and studying these estimates before making any presentation before the BVC congregation.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT: is coming up in May! Look for more information regarding this night (be it “Game Night,” “Miniature Golfing,” or something else). We had a blast at our last FFN … looking forward to having another grand time!!
