Hi BVC’ers!

I trust that each of you is doing well and enjoying the incredibly beautiful weather we’ve been blessed with for the past few days. On two consecutive Wednesday nights, I taught on GENERAL REVELATION and SPECIAL REVELATION. What we’ve been experiencing these past days is a prime example of GENERAL REVELATION: God revealing Himself through the world. While General Revelation is a key component in knowing there is God, it is through SPECIAL REVELATION that we learn what God is like and that’s epitomized through the coming of Jesus Christ. So even if someone never read a Bible or experienced a church service, they could still look around and note the created world, our bodies, the heavens and deduce a superior being created it all. There would still be a need for Special Revelation to highlight the multi-facets of God’s being. Even Jesus said, “If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” We come to understand the mercy, the tenderness, the forgiveness which God bestows through the ministry of Jesus. And it’s important for each person to know and understand these two truths because in putting them together you have an even clearer view than ever before of what God is like. So, use these days to reflect on the majesty of God’s creation as well as the loving nature of God in sending Jesus to be your Savior!
