YOUTH CAMP WEEK

Hi BVC’ers!

Youth Camp week is upon us.  I was just speaking with Santino Fortes and they’ve got 50 youth registered for camp!  That is exciting news — 18 of the youth are coming from BVC.  Some of the youth attend the Youth Bible Study on Friday nights (led by Santino & Eloisa and Les & Reaiah).  Great decisions are made at camp … often resulting in either a first-time commitment to Jesus or a rededication.  Please remember to pray for them — they leave Saturday, July 13, and return on Wednesday, July 17.

Youth Camp holds a very special place in my heart because it was at a youth camp that I gave my heart to Jesus.  It happened at the Mission Springs Campground in the Santa Cruz Mountains.  It was a Thursday night and an invitation was given to accept Jesus as my personal Savior and I couldn’t wait to do that because I knew I needed Jesus to be saved.  It’s wonderful that accepting Jesus comes by faith and not by works (Ephesians 2:8-9)!  And the same message rings as true today as it did for me when I was in high school.

PLANNING COMMISSION:  We should know very soon if our date of July 24 or July 25 is set for us to appear before the Planning Commission of San Jose regarding the House Renovation.  Much of our Board Meeting this coming Tuesday night will be devoted to this project and what steps come next.

NEW MEMBER CLASS:  If you are interested in becoming a member of BVC, please respond to this post or use your registration card on Sunday.  The date for the class will be announced in the next few weeks.

BAPTISM:  Are you interested in being baptized?  Please let me know either responding to this post or use your registration card on Sunday.

NEW CLASSES COMING IN THE FALL:  I will be announcing some brand-new classes that you can register for starting in September!

Have a great rest of the week — I’m looking forward to seeing each of you on Sunday!

Love,

Pastor Chuck
