Hi BVC’ers!

Jesus tells us in Matthew 28:18-20 that we’re to go into all the world. Sometimes, then, we send missionaries to faraway places (like Mary Larsen in the Philippines). Sometimes, then, we invite people to come to our campus for very special events. Both can be deemed evangelistic because both involve the sharing of the Gospel.

This coming Monday, October 31, from 5-8 p.m. we’ll be welcoming people to our campus through our COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL. A wonderful opportunity to make sure we make all feel welcome. We have cars for TRUNK OR TREAT (but could use more if you’d like to volunteer yours). We have candy (but who can’t use more??). We have volunteers in a variety of categories but there’s always room for more. We have people praying — but we can use YOU to help us out in this area! We have help with set-up and clean-up but an extra set of hands is always welcome! If you can think of something I’ve forgotten, please let me know!! I’m looking forward to making an impact in the lives of people.

NEW MEMBER CLASS: if you’ve been contemplating joining BVC, a NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION CLASS will be held on Wednesday, November 9, beginning at 7 p.m. It will be held in the house (either my office of the Blue Room). You can indicate your desire to be part of this class by using your registration card and writing NM on it (please indicate the number attending too).

Janice and I have begun stopping whatever we’re doing at 8 p.m. each night to pray for our country for 1 minute. I mentioned this in last Sunday’s sermon and want to encourage each of you reading this to take up this challenge. Janice has programmed her phone to ring at 8 p.m. We then take turns praying for our country, our friends and loved ones. Hope you’ll join us!

Looking forward to seeing each of you on Sunday morning!
Love, Pastor Chuck
