Hi BVC’ers!

“Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say rejoice!” Wish I could take credit for that sentence but I cannot. The Apostle Paul penned those words many years ago. I’ve had a chance recently to dwell on those words a lot in the past few years. There have been highs in my life. There have been lows in my life. There have been times of being in-between in my life. We’ve all been there. But how often do we dwell on the low points and allow ourselves to become miserable? Where do we think God is during those times — away from His post? Nothing could be farther from the truth because in the midst of everything in life, God is there! He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He never abandons us but is always at work around us. That’s why we can rejoice in all circumstances and situations…God is here! He’s actively pursuing us, loving us, and taking care of us. What could give us greater joy than knowing that?!!!

TWO DAYS AWAY!! Yes, the COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL is now just two days away. There’s still time to bring in your candy…to volunteer to assist…to welcome new people to our church campus! If you’re planning to assist on Saturday, please come to the church around 2 p.m. There will be lots of things to do between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. when it begins. I look forward to seeing you there!! Many thanks to Raud de Silva for his leadership!

TURN YOUR CLOCKS BACK! This Saturday night do remember to turn your clocks BACK one hour (hooray)!! That will insure that you’re on time for church on Sunday morning!

NEW MEMBER CLASS! It’s coming up on Wednesday, November 11, at 7 p.m. in my office. Please let me know if you’re planning on attending so I have enough materials to distribute.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD PACKING PARTY! This is coming up on Sunday, November 15. We’re trusting the Lord that we can pack 500 boxes. I get a big smile on my face when I think of 500 children opening up their boxes and seeing all the “goodies” inside! Hope you do as well. Many thanks to Lori Serpa and her excellent leadership in this whole area!!

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE! It’s time to let you know that we’re having our Christmas Eve service at 7:30 p.m. If you would like to participate musically, please see Ramir Ramirez.

FINALLY…one last upcoming thing to let you know about is our 2016 ANNUAL MEETING will take place on Sunday, January 17, 2016. We already have exciting things to let you know about as we pray and plan for the New Year.

Have a great rest of the week and I’ll see you Sunday!
Love, Pastor Chuck
