HOUSE RENOVATION UPDATE

Hi BVC’ers!

I have some good HOUSE RENOVATION news for all of you. This past Tuesday, Dennis Wilkison and I met with 4 engineers who came to look at our situation. I listened carefully as they spoke about the building and its needs. Some were interested in electrical. Some were interested in plumbing. Some were interested in HVAC. Some were interested in structure. They asked pertinent questions and we arrived at some much-needed clarification. They took a lot of pictures — of EVERYTHING. They inspected EVERYTHING.

Then I heard some really good words: they believe they’ll have everything ready to be presented to the Building Commission in November!! This is what we’ve been praying about as presenting in November/December is vital. If we couldn’t present in 2019, then we’d be exposed to many new rules and regulations in 2020 which would set us back a lot.

Please pray for these engineers to deliver on their word. Pray for them to communicate clearly with our architect as well as with us in a timely manner so that proceeding with presenting to the Building Commission goes as planned. Thanks so much!

The COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL was a huge success. Many from our neighborhood visited us and many good conversations were held. Pray that those conversations turn into future visits!

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: This is the weekend of the big packing party. Pray for Lori Serpa as she oversees and directs this venture (and thank God for all the hours she puts in during the year leading up to this)!

CHURCH WORK DAY/DECORATING: Saturday, November 23, at 9 a.m. We need all the help we can get as we tackle some necessary projects as well as decorate for the holidays.

WOMEN’S RETREAT: January 10-12, 2020. Total cost: $50. Sign-up with Eloisa Fortes.

12 ORDINARY MEN: Class commences tonight, November 6 at 7 p.m.

SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINES: Class continues on Saturday at 7 p.m.

CHRISTMAS CHOIR: Rehearsals December 8, 15, and 22.

CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE: 7:30 p.m., December 24.

Have a great rest of the week — see you Sunday!!

Love,

Pastor Chuck
