Hi BVC’ers!

Do you ever ask yourself this question: “What’s going on in the world?” Seems that almost everyone is upset about something or crying about something or agitated about something. A great many people are in a constant state of anything but peace. There is a peace that surpasses all comprehension but most don’t know where to look for it. There is a peace which is given but not as the world gives but most don’t know where to look for it.

There is one who seeks to bring confusion into situations and circumstances. Ephesians 2 tells us that the prince of the power of the air is working in the sons of disobedience. The end result of this working is confusion, agitation, and definitely not peace.

And then there’s God who says to come unto Him all who are tired and you’ll find rest. And then there’s God who says to not be anxious about anything but in everything through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving we’ll have a peace that guards our hearts and our minds in Christ. And then there’s God who tells us that His peace is greater than anything the world can offer. To find peace? Find God!

So while the world may be topsy-turvy at times and may be full of confusion and speculation, God’s peace is still available and ready for the taking to those who call upon the name of the Lord and ask for it. He wants to give it. All you got to do is ask!

Your BVC Board met last night in preparation for the February 26 meeting. It was good to welcome LES CUBERO to the board! Do remember that lunch will be served on February 26 and then the meeting will begin. Expect the meeting to probably last 90 minutes or so.

MARCH 10-12: Men’s Retreat at Mt. Hermon. Special notice to those men attending — because of Highway 17 closures, you may want to go down to Watsonville and then come back up the other side. Although longer in miles, it might be quicker than going Highway 17.

APRIL 15: COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL. Eloisa Fortes is the point person for this event. If you’d like to volunteer and help us interact with our community, please let Eloisa know … or you can let me know of your interest.

APRIL 16: EASTER SUNDAY!! More info on this forthcoming!

Have a great rest of the week … I’m looking forward to seeing you on Sunday as we continue our study in the book of Ephesians!
Love, Pastor Chuck
