Hi BVC’ers!

Proverbs 31:10 states An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels. You ask any man who is in a wonderful marriage and he’ll tell you that he married “above” himself. He’ll also tell you that his wife is the best wife in the whole world. Being that today is my 37th wedding anniversary, it has given me pause to reflect back on 37 years of life with just one woman and she’s been at my side for every high and every low we’ve encountered. You know what? I wouldn’t want it any other way. I’m the most fortunate guy to be married to Janice. She makes my life complete. The writer of Proverbs 31:10 obviously had in mind that when you find God’s mate for you, “her worth is far above jewels.” How true! So today, perhaps you can pause from the hecticness of life and thank the Lord for your spouse. I’m sure you feel as I do that you’re married to the best person on the planet. And you have every right to feel that way!! Guard your relationship, keep working at it, and enjoy it!

RUMMAGE SALE is coming up on Saturday, September 10 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. If you have any items to donate remember you can bring them to the church Friday or Saturday (on Saturday it would be wise to bring them early). The proceeds go to benefit our youth ministry as well as Operation Christmas Child.

7 CHURCHES OF REVELATION sermon series will soon be concluding (on September 18). The next sermon series will begin October 9 entitled “WHO IS JESUS?” This next series will conclude in November.

2ND HARVEST FOOD BANK is coming up on November 30, from 6-8 p.m. 15 spaces are available (trust you’ll be one of them)!

COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL is next month! Can you believe it? October 31st from 5-8 p.m. And we need you to take part in welcoming our community to our campus.

Many thanks to all who have let me know that they’ve been praying for our family on the news that my Mom, Viola Austin, passed away at the age of 99 on September 4. She lived a good, long life and is now present with her Savior. She made a big commitment to the Lord in 1969 and in the following decades served Him by ministering in convalescent homes. Mom is now reunited with those who went before and I’m sure having a grand time! Her graveside service is set for Tuesday, September 13, at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Have a great week ahead! Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!
Love, Pastor Chuck
