Hi BVC’ers!

What an interesting world in which we live. The Scripture always give us instruction to be ready to give an explanation for the hope that we have. How many of us are ready to do just that? There are so many people who don’t know or ever heard a clear testimony of saving faith in Jesus. We each have a story so unique and so wonderful that it bears repeating. Think about your salvation story: it’s unique. It’s wonderful. It’s full of the love of God and forgiveness and mercy. It bears repeating. So God gives us the opportunity to share our story through “divine appointments.” He sets them up…we have the information…and He expects us to share because it could literally be the difference between life and death. If you come upon a divine appointment, will you be ready to share the truth? The best way to be prepared is to simply pray that God will make you ready. I’d like to hear your stories so please feel free to share them with me!!

MEN’S RETREAT is fast approaching (and there’s still room to sign up). Presently we have 12 men who will be going this year. If your schedule has freed you up to go, join us! See Raud de Silva or call the church office (408-272-3028)!! Scholarships are available.

FINGERPRINTING for all children’s workers will be taking place on Saturday, March 19, beginning at 9:30 a.m. If you have questions, please contact David Knoblich (david@bvchurch.com) or call the church office (408-272-3028).

COMMUNITY FAMILY FESTIVAL is coming up on Saturday, March 26, from 12-3 p.m. This is our “day before Easter” outreach into our community — so we’ll be having lots of events for the whole family to enjoy. If you’d like to help through volunteering to set up or clean up or anything in between, please call the church office (408-272-3028). If no one is here, please leave a message with your phone number and we’ll get back to you promptly!

EASTER SUNDAY, March 27, will be a grand day here at BVC! Be praying about whom you can invite to join you in this great day of celebration!!

We’ll be participating at the 2ND HARVEST FOOD BANK on Wednesday, April 6, from 6-8 p.m. (4001 North First Street). We have 15 spaces available — you can sign-up on your registration card beginning this Sunday, February 21.

Only two more messages remain in my series STANDING TALL IN PERILOUS TIMES taken from the book of Colossians. This Sunday we’ll be focused on CONCERNS taken from Colossians 4:2-6. What were Paul’s concerns as he wrapped up this epistle? How do we respond to them in 2016? Come this Sunday and find out!!

Have a great rest of the week — see you Sunday!!

Love, Pastor Chuck
