We had a beautiful Christmas Eve service … one person who lives near the church told me that they come every year and enjoyed this service the best! Thanks to all of you who participated because the Lord worked through all of us.
Coming up this Sunday is the final message of 2018 entitled, “2019.”
Keep in mind that for your giving to count in 2018 we must receive any contributions by December 31, 2018. We’re about $8,000 short towards ending the year in the black. This is important because should we need a loan for the house renovation we need to show we can meet our Faith Budget. Thanks for all your prayers regarding this matter. Your Board and I are looking to see what God is going to do in these remaining few days of 2018.
Regarding the House Renovation Project, we’ve received some great drawings and designs from the Landscape Engineer. I’m thoroughly impressed with the grounds they have designed and I think you will be as well. Our goal is to make it possible for you to see them just as soon as we can (or by January 20, the Annual Meeting, at the latest). The engineers have indicated that we can progress with presenting our plans to the Planning Commission as early as mid-January. Pray over this that it will pass their inspection.
Starting in January I’ll be preaching through Paul’s second letter to the Corinthians. I’m looking forward to this series and would encourage you to read on ahead.
Saturday, January 5, at 9:30 a.m., we’ll be taking down our Christmas decorations. It always takes less time to take them down than it does to put them up. We can use all the help we can get and trust that many of you will come out and help!
2nd Harvest Food Bank on Wednesday, January 9, from 6-8 p.m.
Happy New Year!!
Love,
Pastor Chuck
